The Mechanical Engineering Workshop is a hands-on learning space where students gain practical knowledge on various manufacturing and production processes. By participating in the workshop practice course, students develop competence in handling engineering tasks and become proficient in working with different equipment and tools.
The workshop is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, including laser engraving and cutting machines, drilling machines, wood planers, wood turning machines, AC welding sets, power hacksaws, and general fabrication facilities.
These resources enable us to manufacture engineering components from designs and support teaching activities through demonstrations of trades and manufacturing processes. Additionally, the workshop staff assist undergraduate students with design projects, providing guidance on material selection, design optimization, and other aspects of engineering design.
The workshop also plays a crucial role in maintenance and repair works, ensuring that equipment is functioning properly and efficiently. By combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, workshop helps students develop the skills and expertise needed to succeed in the field of mechanical engineering.
